Guest Room
Restraint gives the old house a modern, minimalist vibe, but it stops short of feeling cold, thanks to natural elements that breath life into every room: a mushroom sculpture here, a songbird etching there. Pillows are printed with butterflies and fern fronds.
In this photo: A hand-carved four-poster by MacKenzie-Dow wears a beige Sferra blanket, custom green-velvet throw pillows, and a butterfly-print sham from Stanton's store. Area potter Charlie West crafted the lamps, and the walls are painted Fairview Dome by Ralph Lauren.
Bathroom
Maple branches from the yard are literally placed on a pedestal—a vintage column—in the master bathroom. Stanton found the pressed fern at a flea market. The walls are painted Throne by Ralph Lauren.
Bright idea: A dark coat of paint lends gravitas to a simple claw-foot tub.
Blending In
Chihuahuas Joey and Terry fit right in with the home's natural color scheme.
The Family
Despite the wildlife decor that adorns the inside of their home, Stanton and Greco never forget the real thing is just outside. "The backyard is so secluded, our cell phones don't work out there," Stanton explains. "People from the store can't even reach me. And that's kind of nice."
